Job summary

Hi-Way Paving, Inc. seeks a Portable Concrete Plant Operator to join our field crew. You will operate and manage batch plants, monitor mix designs, and ensure quality concrete for airfield and highway projects.

This travel-intensive role requires staying at active project sites across the southeast and midwest, with overnight travel up to 100% depending on project needs. Candidates should have 3–5 years in ready-mix operations, NRMCA/ACI certifications preferred, and a valid driver's license;

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in ready‑mix operations, concrete production, or construction.
• NRMCA and/or ACI certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight up to 100% as project needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and dismantle portable concrete batch plants.
• Monitor mix design components for proper blending and quality.
• Operate batch plant machinery, pumps, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on batch plant equipment.
• Track inventories and coordinate material deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with plant permits and environmental regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized plant areas and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with QC teams and inspectors for compliance.
• Assist in enforcing safety protocols and site regulations.
