Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Coax Splicer who will travel to job sites across the Northeast, often staying away from home for extended periods. This role requires overtime when deadlines demand it.

You will splice coaxial cable, install devices, read blueprints, and operate a bucket truck. A minimum of 2 years splicing experience and a high school diploma are required; RF and fiber knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience splicing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience using related splicing equipment.
• Ability to read system design maps, fiber schematics, blueprints and basic electronic designs.
• Have a general understanding of RF and Fiber-Optic technologies.
• Must be able to occasionally move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Place and install coaxial cable.
• Install passive/active devices, pedestals, vaults or coax splice cases.
• Splice active and passive CATV equipment.
• Rough balance and troubleshoot coaxial cable plant.
• Read blueprints, CATV design maps and basic electronic designs.
• Operate aerial lift and other related equipment to perform job functions.
• Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment.
