Job summary

OrthoArizona is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Gilbert (North), AZ location. This full-time role involves preparing patients, documenting in EMA/ModMed EMR, and supporting physicians throughout examinations and procedures.

A strong patient-focused attitude and CPR certification are required. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within a fast-growing orthopedics group serving the Greater Phoenix area since 1994.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office is preferred.
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed / EMA experience is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail are required.
• EMA EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
• Input and maintain appropriate EMR documentation.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized.
• Assist in the procedure room with procedures and start IVs after training.
• Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing records.
