Job summary
Design Group is seeking an experienced automation engineer to develop and implement automation solutions supporting capital projects and manufacturing operations on client sites. You will collaborate with clients, vendors, and Control System Integration teams to design, configure, test, commission, and start up integrated control systems, including PLC, HMI/SCADA platforms, and control panels.
This role requires heavy travel, strong problem solving, and clear technical communication to ensure
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automation experience with HMI, SCADA, PLCs and control system design.
- Experience designing automation control systems and documentation.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, process control, and engineering drawings (P&IDs).
- Willingness to travel for installation, start-up, and client meetings.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation solutions from design to start-up.
- Configure, test, and commission control systems.
- Program PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, etc.).
- Coordinate site construction and commissioning activities.
- Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
- Prepare project documentation and drawings.
