Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians
- Position and instruct patients prior to examination; adjust the x-ray equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph
- Ensure patient safety and minimize radiation exposure; maintain equipment performance and image quality
- Collaborate with physicians and the radiology team during procedures; document procedures and results in patient records
- Adhere to department protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
