Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 1+ year of recent cath lab experience for a day shift role in Bel Air, Maryland. The position includes on-call and weekend requirements with floating within the department as needed.

The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, with 3x12 or 4x10 schedules, and travel candidates are welcome. Housing and travel reimbursements may be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent cath lab experience.
• ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification accepted (license required if applicable).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, left/right heart cath, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, rotablator atherectomy.
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Experience with equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field.
• Proficiency with isolation precautions and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
• 3x12 (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) or 4x10 (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) day shifts, 36 or 40 hours accepted.
• On-call required, approximately 8 weeknights and 4 weekend 24-hour shifts per 6-week schedule.
• Weekend shifts required, inclusive of pre-scheduled on-call requirements (4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule).
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled and as part of on-call rotation.
• Floating required within the specialty/department as needed within scope.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role.
• Locals accepted at a reduced rate.
• Manager may request an interview.
• Responsibilities include cardiac implant closure device procedures, stent placement, and PCI.
• Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no scheduling restrictions.
