Position: Cath Lab Technologist – Travel

Location: Covington, Louisiana

Hours: 40 hours per week (8‑hour days)

Employment Type: Travel

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
• Assist in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Sustain a high level of patient care by communicating with patients, families, and physicians; co‑work to address the patient’s physical, general and psychosocial needs.
• Operate ancillary equipment, anticipate and obtain catheters, wires and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered by the cardiologist or radiologist.
• Function under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
• Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment of excellence, patient‑focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality care.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
