Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist in Columbia, Missouri to perform cardiac catheterization, EP procedures, and vascular interventions. The candidate should have 2+ years of experience, BLS/ACLS, and applicable ARRT certifications. Cerner charting proficiency is preferred.

The assignment requires 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) with rotating on-call and 40 hours per week; travel and floating across units are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ARRT Advanced Cert./CET, ARRT R, RCIS, RCES, and Fluoro Permit preferred.
• MO or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration if applicable.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, right/left heart catheterization, cardiac ablation, pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, and vascular interventions
• Skills in EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields required.
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to work in a setting with routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures.
• Describe wide range of cath lab, EP, and vascular procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Impella insertion, hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker placement.
• Mandatory floating across applicable units, including serving as a Patient Observer/Sitter when needed.
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Openings: 1; 13-week assignments; 40 hours per week; 4x10 hour days; on-call responsibilities.

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Impella insertion, hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker placement
• Mandatory floating required across applicable units, including serving as a Patient Observer/Sitter when needed
• 50% holiday coverage required during the contract
• Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed, with none permitted during the first week due to orientation
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Returning travelers do not require re-orientation if returning within 18 months
• Up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (or 9 months of consecutive service) allowed before a mandatory 6-month break is required before returning in an agency capacity
