Unit Type: Cardiac Cath/EP Labs

General Information

• Number of Beds: 4 Cath Lab (2 Cath Labs & 2 EP Labs)
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 Nurse Manager, Cath Lab teams of 3 or 4, EP Lab teams of 3
  • Night Shift: Cath Lab call team starts at 3:30 PM
  • Dayshift primarily 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on patient schedule
• Call Requirements: Must be within 30 minutes of the facility. On call approximately 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month (24-hour coverage on Saturday & Sunday).
• Equipment: Siemens X-Ray equipment, GE Mac Lab recording, Meditech EMR.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Skills:

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Experience with Complex PCI, including Impella and IABP placement/management
• Familiarity with GE Mac Lab EMR

Preferred Skills

• EP Lab experience, including device placement, EP ablations, and EP studies
• Experience in peripheral vascular intervention
• Flexibility with scheduling and availability for additional call

Typical Procedures

• Right/Left heart catheterizations
• PCI and Complex PCI
• Diagnostic and Interventional peripherals
• EKOS, PFO occluders, Nitric Oxide studies
• Pacemaker/ICD implants, EP Ablations, Watchman implants
• Interventional Radiology

Certifications

One of the following certifications is required: RCIS, RCES, or ARRT.
