Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in invasive cardiovascular procedures in a state-of-the-art laboratory setting. This role requires a commitment to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations as needed. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in the field.

• Number of Beds: 370
• Patient Ratios: N/A - procedural position
• Type of Equipment: GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, Penumbra
• Documentation System: MacLab/Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with various cardiac procedures including Diagnostic Left Heart Cath, PCI, STEMI, Stroke, Carotid Stenting, and Peripheral diagnostic and intervention.
• Scrub and monitor during Left Heart Cath, Right Heart Cath, PCI, STEMI, and peripheral procedures.
• Support in prep and recovery areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or similar setting.
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Advanced skills in scrubbing for invasive procedures and patient monitoring.
• Required certifications include either RCIS, RCES, or RT(R).

Shift Information

Standard scheduling consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and participation in on-call duties.

Additional Information

This position offers access to newer procedure rooms and advanced equipment. The Cath Lab team consists of 5-10 physicians, and a dedicated charge nurse is present to facilitate workflow throughout the day. We strive to create a dynamic and supportive work environment.
