Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves performing interventional imaging and related radiologic tasks in a four 10-hour shift schedule with on-call coverage evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires ARRT or equivalent RCIS/RCVS certification, 2+ years in the field, BLS, and compliance with PA regulations. Travel, housing assistance, and benefits are provided by ARMStaffing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
• ARRT Certificate or equivalent in RCIS or RCVIS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Compliance with PA Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.
• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a cath lab, with experience assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization cases.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proper positioning and radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures.
• Support various departments by performing general radiographic procedures as needed.
• Ensure an environment that supports aseptic technique and patient safety, incorporating a time-out process during procedures.
• Administer contrast agents as per assigned protocols under the guidance of the proceduralist.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.
• Properly identify patients using two identifiers and adhere to universal protocols when performing procedures.
• Document patient history and assessments accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure proper coding and tracking of exams, facilitating efficient archiving and interpretation.
