You will operate in a busy cardiac cath lab with Siemens equipment and Epic EMR, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures and EP lab support. The position offers 4x10 hour days, travel-based benefits, and potential call duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years STEMI/PCI facility experience.
• ARRT certification required at time of application.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• ODH license if applicable.
• IABP and Impella training required.
• STEMI ready.
• Experience with IV starts and EKGs.
• Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis.
• Epic charting experience.
• Outpatient and inpatient settings experience.
• Able to work with adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and EP lab support.
• Provide vascular studies and support in busy cath/EP labs.
• Lead EKG lead placement and IV starts as part of daily duties.
• Float to EP lab or other units as needed.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility and ARRT certification required at time of application.

Details

• Work in a busy cardiac cath lab with 7 procedure rooms"
• Adult and geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 25-30
• Setting includes diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and interventional radiology
• Procedures include diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, right and left heart catheterizations, IABP and Impella placement/removal, stent placement, angioplasty, carotid stenting, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Uses Siemens equipment and Epic EMR
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• One weekday call per week and every 5th weekend call required
• Call requirements include two weekends (Friday 6pm-Monday 7am) and one night each week during the 13-week contract, plus one holiday of call if the assignment falls over a major holiday period
• May float to EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low
• Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
• ARRT certification required in hand at time of application
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license required if applicable
• IABP and Impella training required
• Must be STEMI ready
• Experience with IV starts and EKGs required
• Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings required
• Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations

Additional Information

• Facility does not accept local candidates within a 50 mile radius
