Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment in Bend, Oregon. You will support Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Structural Heart and Neuro procedures.

The role requires 1+ year Cath Lab experience with ARRT (R), BLS/ACLS, and the ability to scrub and interpret dysrhythmias. Work 4x10s days, with on-call duties and a 13-week contract.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience required.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • State license required if applicable.
  • Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations required.
  • Experience with PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy procedures required.
  • Experience with cardiac stent placement and cardiac implant closure devices required.
  • Experience with IABP placement and removal required.
  • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias required.
  • Experience scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field required.
  • Proficiency with any electronic charting system required.

Responsibilities

  • 13-week Cath Lab assignment supporting Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties.
  • Average daily caseload of 15 cases.
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 4x10 hours.
  • On-call coverage with a 2-hour callback minimum; 8 call days in 4 weeks and 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks.
  • May float within Cath Lab unit to meet facility needs.
  • Uses Philips imaging systems and related equipment; electronic charting system.
  • First-time travelers may be considered.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / Special Procedures Technologist with 1+ year of experience supporting IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro procedures.

Details
  • 13-week assignment in a Cath Lab supporting Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
  • Average daily caseload of 15 cases
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Requires weeknight and weekend on-call coverage with a 2-hour callback minimum
  • On-call requirement includes 8 call days within a 4-week period and 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks (Friday-Monday), plus 24-hour on-call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays
  • May float within the Cath Lab unit to meet facility needs but not to sister facilities
  • Facility will attempt to accommodate consistent block scheduling
  • Utilizes Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips and Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave equipment
  • Uses electronic charting system
Requirements

Additional Information
  • Structural heart procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman) are covered by the in-house cath lab team
  • Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulator duties, and scrub/sterile field maintenance
  • Must follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, infection control, and sterile technique standards
  • First‑time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • RTO restrictions of 7 days apply
  • Candidates with pending state license applications may be considered
