Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA) seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the catheterization lab. You will prepare patients and equipment, monitor hemodynamic data, operate imaging systems, and support physicians during catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement.

The role requires maintaining sterile technique, documenting procedures accurately, managing supplies, and adhering to safety and infection control

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCES/RCIS.
• Preferred: Radiologic Technologist license; PALS/ENPC or similar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for procedures.
• Assist physicians by passing instruments and operating imaging equipment.
• Maintain sterile environment and safety protocols.
• Perform sheath removal and manage hemostasis.
• Document patient data and procedural details.
• Manage inventory and ensure equipment functionality.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Prepare patients and equipment, monitor hemodynamic data, operate imaging and monitoring systems, and support physicians during procedures such as catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement. Maintain sterile technique, ensure patient safety, document procedures accurately, manage supplies, and adhere to safety and infection control protocols. Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and support procedural success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of one year recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech. Certifications required include BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC), and ARRT, RCES, or RCIS. Preferred qualifications include a Radiologic Technologist license and additional certifications like PALS or ENPC. Must possess critical thinking, excellent communication, technical proficiency, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure. Strong interpersonal, motor, sensory, and mental skills are essential for success.
