Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in California. The role requires at least 5 years of cath lab experience including structural heart, vascular, and emergent cases, plus a CA RN license. EPIC experience, BLS, and ACLS are required; BSN is preferred.

The candidate will work in an acute care hospital Cath Lab, with a 5x8 day shift and call obligations. Vaccination is required unless exemptions apply. Local candidates may receive travel-rate compensation.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of cath lab experience required.
• EPIC experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS or ALS certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• Prior acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital.
• Cath lab caseload includes structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases.
• Day shift, 5x8s, Monday through Friday, with start times of 7am or 8am.
• Call required 2 days per week along with 1-2 weekends per month.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and caring treatment.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members.
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel pay.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered.
• Candidates with any prior adverse action on their license will not be considered.
