Job summary

FutureSoft Consulting Inc is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. The RN will support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, collaborating with interventional cardiologists, technologists, and anesthesia staff.

Candidates with more than 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience are preferred, and on-site day shift coverage is required with call as needed. Travel nursing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license meeting Illinois requirements.
• Current BLS certification.
• Recent Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience.
• Strong cardiovascular assessment skills.
• Ability to respond to cardiac emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, document meds, allergies, and labs.
• Prepare patients for invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs during procedures.
• Administer medications and procedural sedation within scope.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cath procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-control standards.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
