Job summary

TotalMed RN in Houston is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab to join a fast-paced cardiovascular team. This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts, and requires ACLS and BLS certification along with 1–2 years of acute care experience.

As a Cath Lab RN, you’ll assist during angioplasty, catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, support the physician, and help monitor EKG equipment while ensuring patient safety in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate complex technologies used in the Cath Lab.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
• Support angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Assist with implantable devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.
