American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab RN for a magnet-designated teaching hospital in Seattle, WA. Expect on-call and weekend requirements with 10-hour days, 40 hours per week for a 13-week assignment.

The role involves cath lab procedures with support for EP/ablation, angiograms, and device implants. Requires WA license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years cath lab experience; travel perks apply.

Qualifications

• Active WA or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration (pending not accepted).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath or EP lab RN experience.
• Experience in a teaching hospital and trauma hospital preferred.
• COVID vaccination and booster required, no exceptions.
• RTO not allowed during orientation; maximum of 1 week off permitted.
• Former UW staff must have a separation of at least 18 months before returning as a traveler.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab setting.
• Care for patients undergoing coronary angiograms/interventions, peripheral vascular studies, placement of Swan Ganz catheters, temporary pacing wires, cardiac device implants, and EP/ablation procedures.
• Handle both scheduled outpatient procedures and urgent/emergent cases such as STEMIs.
• Work 4x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, including weekends.
• On-call coverage required.
• Floating within the hospital may be required but not to sister hospitals.
• Uses Epic EMR; experience is preferred but not required.
• Travelers participate in pre-procedure workup, intra-procedure circulating, administration of moderate sedation, equipment set-up, and post-procedure care including sheath management and proper hand-offs.

• First-time travelers with adequate experience may be considered
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Position is in a magnet-designated, level 4 trauma teaching facility
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the schedule
