Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience for an acute care Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Bakersfield, CA. RCIS/RCES certification via CCI is required, along with BLS/ACLS and an active RN license as applicable.

The role includes on-call duties, 10-hour day shifts, and care across cardiac, EP, structural heart, and vascular procedures using Cerner EMR. Strong teamwork and compliance with standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• RCIS or RCES certification via CCI required
• Active state or compact (NLC) RN licensure required for the state of submission; license required if applicable
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references: one supervisor from within last 12 months and one from within last 3 years, with dates and eligibility for rehire

Responsibilities

• Acute care Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) unit within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Cases include cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and vascular/neuro/peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 10-hour day shifts, every other weekend
• On-call rotation to support emergency procedures outside scheduled hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to respond and be ready for a procedure within 30 minutes of call notification
• Monitor and process hemodynamic and electrophysiology data during procedures
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and procedure room readiness
• Obtain supplies for individual cases
• Deliver patient care following professional and hospital standards; maintain safety and confidentiality
• Support compliance with performance improvement plans, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards
