Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ year of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience. The role includes hybrid OR procedures and a mix of day and on-call shifts across coastal and inland hospital settings.

Requirements include ARRT(R) or RCIS, state licensure if applicable, Epic charting experience, and references. Travel-friendly with housing and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year cath lab experience required.
• ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, hemodynamic monitoring, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, including hybrid OR and special procedures settings
• Adult diagnostic catheterization patient population
• Procedures include ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, TAVR, Watchman, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and rotablator atherectomy
• Uses fluoroscopy, PACS, Philips, and Siemens equipment
• Varying day shifts including 0700-1530 and 0730-1600, with occasional stay-late shifts 1-2 times per week and 0830-1700 call shifts
• On-call required one weekday per week (Monday-Thursday) and every 4th to 5th weekend from Friday 1700 to Monday 0700
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and accurate patient monitoring
• Involvement in rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
