Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma acute care setting. 6 labs perform ~18 cases daily, focusing on coronary and neuro interventional procedures. 4x9-hour days with on-call weekends, 24/7 cardiologist coverage, scrubbing, monitoring and circulating required.

Responsibilities include charting in EPIC/McKesson, potential to float to EP/IR, and first-week orientation. Local candidates within 50 miles receive a local rate; scrubs are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Cath Lab experience required.
• Scrub and circulate STEMI and high-risk coronary interventions.
• Willingness to learn circulating/monitoring for neuro interventional call.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• ARRT certification (RT-R) required.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a Level 1 Trauma acute care facility.
• 6 procedure suites/labs with an average of 18 cases per day.
• Patient population includes coronary and neuro diagnoses, including high-risk coronary cases.
• EPIC and McKesson systems used for charting and equipment.
• Schedule consists of 4x9-hour day shifts per week with call responsibilities.
• Shift start times assigned at 0700 or 0830.
• On-call requirements include 4 weekends over 13 weeks with 30-minute call response time.
• Potential to float to EP/IR departments.
• Supervisor or charge coverage during operating hours (0600-1630, Mon-Fri).
• Scrubs provided.
• Local candidates accepted; no radius rule, though clinicians within 50 miles are eligible for a local rate.
