Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional cath lab experience to support cardiologists, radiologists and RNs in a hospital cath lab setting.

Requirements include BLS/ACLS, RCES/CRT/RCIS or ARRT-R; 2+ years of interventional lab experience; license if applicable. First-time travelers considered; local candidates within 50 miles at local rate. Shifts are 4x10, with on-call nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA).
• RCES, CRT, or RCIS accepted; ARRT-R accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of interventional cath lab experience.
• Structural heart experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, vascular closure systems, and sterile field maintenance.
• Experience with PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, IABP, Impella, and right/left heart catheterization preferred.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Interventional and diagnostic cardiac cath lab work setting.
• Adult and pediatric/neonatal diagnostic catheterization cases.
• 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 9:00 AM-7:30 PM.
• Rotating nights and weekend call required.
• Uses fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment.
• Provide technical support and patient monitoring during interventional and diagnostic cath lab procedures.
• May mentor or train students.
• Responsible for accurate procedural documentation, equipment setup, and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Serves as room circulator or scrub technician as needed.
• First-time travelers considered.
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius.
• Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler.
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract.
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing.
