Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and RCIS/RCVT/RCES certification. This travel role is based in Coastal Virginia near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, with rotating shifts and call requirements.

Responsibilities include performing cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, support across CV departments, and potential extended assignments through January 9, 2027. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements outlined.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience.
• Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Technology program. Lead toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; RCIS/RCVT/RCES credentials.
• ARRT candidates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac Cath Lab procedures including minimally invasive interventions.
• Support other CV departments including Cath Lab, EP, and Cath Holding as needed.
• Work 5x8 or 4x10 shifts with start times between 7a–7p.
• Commit to 40 hours per week with potential overtime during high volume.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience and RCIS, RCVT, or RCES certification.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry
• ARRT candidates will not be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• One of the following current credentials required: RCIS, RCVT, or RCES
• VA or compact license required if applicable
• EKG/tele testing required with a minimum 80% passing score; no remediation available

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Cath Lab performing minimally invasive cardiac procedures with a full-service Electrophysiology (EP) program
• May be assigned to support other Cardiovascular departments including Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), and Cath Holding
• Shifts include 5x8 and 4x10 schedules with varying start times between 7a-7p
• Scheduled for 40 hours per week; some shifts may extend beyond 8 hours based on procedural volume and overtime should be expected
• Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required, averaging approximately 12 call days per month
• Must be willing to cover two of the three winter holidays
• Perform minimally invasive cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Located in the Coastal Virginia region near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, offering access to outdoor recreation
• Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available but not required
• Candidates with any prior license or background hits will not be considered
• PAPR fit testing cannot be accommodated; any history of fit test issues will eliminate candidates from consideration
• Requested time off must be submitted and will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
• RN candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility to be considered; allied candidates may be considered regardless of distance
