Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 1+ year of cardiac cases experience and ARRT certification. The role involves scrubbing in, C-arm control, and patient preparation in a fast-paced cath lab with 3 rooms and a Hybrid OR.

Arizona licensure and ARRT/BLS/AZRT certifications are required, with 24/7 cardiology coverage and nightly/weekend call expectations. housing and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• ARRT and BLS certifications required
• AZRT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year experience with cardiac cases
• IR experience preferred
• Active licensure in state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Two professional references (supervisor within 12 months, peer/supervisor within 3 years)
• Copy of driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 rooms and 1 Hybrid OR
• Average 13-26 cases per day
• Care for STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, heart blocks
• Cases include cardiac, vascular, IR, pacemaker insertions
• Use Cerner and Merge EMR for patient monitoring
• Philips X-ray machines used
• 4x10 hour day shifts
• 24/7 cardiologist coverage with call hours M-F 17:30-7:00; weekends 24h
• Typically 1 night call shift per week and 1 weekend call per 4 weeks
• Holiday call distributed among staff
• 30-minute call response time
• Unit leadership available 6:30-17:00
• 1-2 days orientation plus 2 days unit orientation
• OR scrubs provided; candidates must reside 50 miles away
• No recent CommonSpirit facility employment
