Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN with dual Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience for a day shift assignment requiring NY licensure and Epic proficiency. You will work 4x10-hour days with on-call duties and Epic charting responsibilities.

The role requires active NY RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years in cath lab. Housing and per diem options may be provided, with travel opportunities across facilities.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license required in hand.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required (IR-only experience not accepted).
• Must have experience in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Skilled in procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and PCI.
• Experience with IR procedures such as gastrostomy tube placement, liver biopsy, paracentesis, nephrostomy, and renal angiography
• Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, and managing dysrhythmias.
• Follows infection prevention and isolation precaution protocols.
