Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in the United States. The role requires 2+ years of cardiovascular sonography experience with a full vascular skill set and Epic EMR proficiency.

The position includes day shifts, on-call obligations, and travel during winter holidays. Candidates must have ARDMS/CCI or equivalent certification, a valid driver’s license, and a Supervisory reference from the last two years.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience with a full vascular skill set.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted).
• Active ARDMS (RDCS/RVT) or active CCI certification.
• License required if applicable.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Supervisory reference/performance evaluation completed within the last two years required.

Responsibilities

• Non-Invasive Department at a Level 3 Trauma Center.
• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• On call 1 night per weekday and every third weekend.
• Average of 7-8 scans per day.
• Vascular procedures include renal studies, pre-op assessments, pain mapping, and other detailed vascular work.
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing professional clinical care to patients.
• Black scrubs required.
• Travelers must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day).
• Limited to 1 day off request during designated holiday blackout periods.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Local candidates will not be considered.
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) may be restricted from travel assignments in other markets within the past 12 months.
