Job summary

GLOBAL MEDICAL STAFFING is seeking a Cardiologist for locum tenens in High Point, North Carolina. This travel assignment requires invasive cardiology expertise, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, with Q5 call and a 30-minute response time.

The role involves inpatient call coverage, approximately five patients per shift, plus multiple consults and admissions per day; procedures include cardiac cath, angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, PA catheter, and IABP placement.

Qualifications

• Invasive cardiology experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Able to cover STEMI and acute cardiology cases.
• Experience with high-volume inpatient call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide travel cardiology coverage with Q5 call ratio and 30-minute response.
• Inpatient cardiology call coverage with about 5 patients per shift.
• Handle ~3 phone consults, 1 patient seen, and 1 admission per 24 hours.
• Perform invasive procedures: cardiac cath, angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy.
• PA catheter and IABP placement as required.
• TEEs and heart biopsy experience are a plus.
