Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer with 2+ years of experience in outpatient cardiac ultrasound and Epic charting. The role focuses on imaging the heart, delivering patient care, and maintaining equipment in a daytime outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or on-call. Epic EMR proficiency is required, along with BLS and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years current Cardiovascular Sonographer/Echocardiographer experience required
• BLS certification required
• RDCS certification through ARDMS, or RCS, ACS, or RCCS certification through CCI required
• License required if applicable
• Accredited Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program required
• Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Outpatient setting performing cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
• Monday through Friday day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure patient care including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care
• Perform CPR as needed and may assist with post-procedure patient transport
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, performing daily quality assurance checks
• Generate ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures
• May provide staff training and education
• Monitor and record patient information, manage report storage and data systems, and prepare charge entry data
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use, ensuring efficient turnover between procedures
