The ideal candidate has at least 2 years on a cardiac floor, and holds BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS is preferred. Expect duties in cardiac telemetry, drips management, and post-procedure care within a collaborative team.

This is a night shift position, working 36 hours per week on a 3x12 hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our cardiac unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience on a cardiac floor, providing care for patients with various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring and nursing care for patients in a stepdown unit.
• Manage cardiac drips and perform sheath removals as necessary.
• Conduct assessments, intervene for dysrhythmias, and manage post-myocardial infarction and pre/post cardiac catheterization patients.
• Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Participate in orientation and staff development activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience on a cardiac floor required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience with arterial line management and charge nurse responsibilities is a plus.
