Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Cardiac Stress Testing RN for a day shift in a teaching hospital's Cardiac Stress Testing department. Requires EKG/stress test experience and compact RN license if applicable. Epics charting experience preferred.

The role covers 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with on-call Saturdays and potential weekend coverage; travel-friendly with housing and licensure support. Must have a vehicle and be willing to work 3 of 5 major holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required, compact license accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in stress testing
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in stress test techniques and treadmill protocols
• Able to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and perform Exercise Stress Tests and Stress Echo
• Experience with pharmacologic agents (Dobutamine) and emergency meds
• Peripheral IV insertion skills required
• Experience activating emergency services and rapid response teams
• Prior charge or supervisory experience preferred
• CCU/ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in Cardiac Stress Testing department within Echo/EKG/Nuclear Medicine services
• Facilitate stress tests with Echo and Nuclear Medicine teams
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• On-call on Saturdays 0700–1430 in Nuclear Medicine
• Weekend coverage on Saturdays
• Possible float to other units or sister facilities
• Use Epic for charting
• Operate GE stress testing equipment
• Support cardiac stress testing procedures and monitor patients
• Collaborate with Echo and Nuclear Medicine technologists
• Must have personal vehicle for assignment
• First-time travelers welcome
• Commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
• Minimal RTO requested; local candidates welcome at lower rate
• Candidates living beyond 50 miles for standard travel rate eligibility
• Former staff may return after 3 months if requests and distance criteria met
• Two supervisory references required
• No parking fee
• Scrubs provided for OR/Cath Lab roles
