Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, Illinois. The role focuses on cardiac telemetry, with travel requirements and 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities include bedside care, monitoring specialized equipment, and recognizing telemetry changes. Candidates should have BLS, ACLS, and relevant nursing experience; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2 years of relevant nursing experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and alert medical team.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
• Travel RN should be able to stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 20–50 pounds.
