Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Care Unit night shift position in California. This travel assignment spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights, requiring a CA RN license and critical care background.

Responsibilities include care of cardiac patients, pre/post-operative management, and occasional float to other units. Epic EMR experience preferred; travel per diem and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience.
• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC EMR/charting is required.

Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac and cardiovascular patients in a hospital setting.
• Maintain 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio on a 30-bed CVICU/CCU unit.
• Provide pre- and post-operative cardiac care and monitoring.
• Perform night-shift duties with 12-hour shifts starting at 1900.
• Float to Med/Surg and other critical care units as needed.
• Follow facility dress code and adapt to holiday coverage as required.
