Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Echo for a 13-week assignment in Newark, NJ. You’ll perform echocardiography, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians to support accurate diagnoses while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The Cardiac Sonographer role emphasizes imaging quality, patient safety, and teamwork in diverse clinical settings, with licensure and certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• One year of recent experience as an Echo Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations.
• Preferred: ARDMS, ARRT and CCI credentials.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate expertise in cardiac echocardiography, including Doppler and 3-D imaging techniques.
• Maintain proficiency operating echocardiography equipment and advanced imaging techniques.
• Review patient history and verify orders to ensure examinations are conducted.
• Educate patients and/or family members about the echocardiography procedures.
• Identify, correct, and document imaging artifacts to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per institutional policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Work efficiently in fast-paced environments and follow facility policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned within Cardiac Sonographer scope.
