Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Echo) for a 13-week assignment in Sonora, CA. You will perform echocardiography, collaborates with physicians, and provide patient education while delivering high-quality imaging in diverse clinical settings.

The role requires an accredited Ultrasound Tech program, one year of Echo Cardiovascular experience, and a current BLS. ARDMS/CCI credentials are preferred and supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• One year of recent experience as an Echo Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in cardiac echocardiography, including Doppler and 3-D imaging.
• Maintain proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and imaging techniques.
• Review patient history and verify orders for examinations.
• Educate patients about echocardiography procedures.
• Identify, correct, and document imaging artifacts to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Maintain accurate patient records per institutional policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain safety.
• Perform other duties within the Cardiac Sonographer scope.
