Job summary

Atlas Search in Brick, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Travel Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a high-acuity Cath Lab.

Requirements include at least 1 year in Cardiac Cath Lab, graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or Applied Science program, and AHA BLS certification; ARRT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the procedural team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies before each case.
• Maintain a sterile field while supporting physicians throughout procedures.
• Set up and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recording patient data during procedures.
• Operate imaging and procedural equipment while ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Assist with temporary and permanent pacemaker procedures.
• Support the use of advanced cardiac assist devices, including Impella and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
• Assist with vascular access management, sheath removal, and post-procedure hemostasis.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly recognize changes in cardiac rhythm or condition.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols.
• Help maintain equipment, stock procedural supplies, and participate in the department's on-call rotation.
