Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN with TX/compact license for a fast-paced Level I Trauma center in Houston. The role supports a 719-bed hospital performing 40-50 cases daily across interventional, structural, and EP procedures.

Shifts are 4x10 hours (7a-5p) with 4-5 call shifts per month and one weekend. Required are active TX/compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and 3+ years of RN experience including cath lab exposure.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required, with at least 2 years of cath lab experience.
• Experience circulating, monitoring in Mac Lab, and scrubbing preferred.
• BSN not required for this position.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab unit at a 719-bed Level I Trauma Center with 11 labs.
• Unit performs 40-50 cases per day including interventional, structural, and EP procedures.
• Scheduled for 4x10-hour day shifts, 7a-5p.
• Call requirements of 4-5 shifts per month including 1 weekend per month.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• 12 hours of orientation provided.
• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, high-acuity cardiac cath lab environment.
• Great opportunity for RNs seeking high-demand, high-experience settings.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.
• Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered.
