Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a 13-week assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role provides specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, with duties including pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery, under cardiology supervision.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of Cath Lab RN experience, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and is prepared to work 8-hour day

Qualifications

• One year of recent Cath Lab RN experience.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to procedures, review medical history and perform exams.
• Position patients and place EKG leads and monitoring wires.
• Assist physicians during procedures including catheter and device placements.
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment and respond to rhythm changes.
• Assist in sheath removal and transport to recovery area.
• Monitor vitals, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters.
• Support post-procedure recovery and continuity of care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and stock levels.
• Communicate with team, patients, families, and physicians for seamless care.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
