Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Cardiac Interventional Radiology with 2+ years in cath lab scrub and monitor roles for cardiology, vascular, and IR cases. This position requires ACLS/BLS and ARRT RCIS/R certification, with state licensure as applicable.

The role involves working in a combined diagnostic and interventional cath lab and IR setting, 4x10 hour day shifts, on-call 10–12 days per month, and travel housing/loan reimbursement benefits for eligible

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years cath lab experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• ARRT R or RCIS certification required (either accepted).
• State license required if applicable.
• Experience with scrub and monitor roles required.
• Familiarity with Impella, thrombectomy is preferred.
• MERGE hemodynamic monitoring experience is a plus.
• Experience at a community hospital preferred.
• Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and EKG lead placement.
• Knowledge of cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI and catheterizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology setting.
• Scrub and monitor for cardiology, vascular intervention, and IR cases.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Call required 10-12 days per month.
• Use fluoroscopy equipment and PACS system.
• Monitor, set up equipment, and maintain sterile field.
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and coordinate rapid response.
• Maintain equipment and inventory and restock supplies as part of daily duties.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays.
• RTO requests reviewed case by case and factored into total contract length.
• Facility housing available.
• Travel pairs accepted case by case.
• Does not accept local candidates within 50 mile radius.
• Onsite drug screening including marijuana testing; positive results cancel employment.
