Job summary

TEKsystems in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician for nationwide retail and commercial deployments. The role involves installing, testing, and troubleshooting network cabling, wireless access points, IP cameras, fiber, and low-voltage power systems, with overnight travel and lifts.

A company vehicle and gas card are provided. You will work with a safety-focused team on projects including WAP refreshes, IP video upgrades, and structured cabling, typically in onsite

Qualifications

  • Low-voltage cabling installation and termination.
  • Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic experience.
  • RJ45 terminations and cable testing.
  • Wireless Access Point (WAP) installation.
  • IP camera/CCTV installation.
  • Structured cabling systems.
  • Network switch, rack, and cabinet installation.
  • Cable testing, troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Lift operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, route, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Install and configure Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
  • Replace legacy camera systems with IP-based surveillance solutions.
  • Install cameras, network racks, cabinets, switches, and related hardware.
  • Run, dress, label, and organize network cabling.
  • Install low-voltage power wiring, EMT conduit, junction boxes, and pull boxes.
  • Support power and data infrastructure installations alongside electricians.
  • Install Public Video Monitor (PVM) systems.
  • Perform cable testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
  • Operate scissor lifts and follow all safety standards.

Low Voltage Technician (100% Travel)

Position Summary

Seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians for nationwide retail and commercial technology deployments. This role involves installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting network cabling, wireless access points, IP cameras, fiber optics, and low-voltage power systems. Candidates must be comfortable with overnight work, travel, and operating lifts. Company vehicle and gas card provided.

Key Responsibilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
