• Provide patient care in inpatient Oncology and during transitions.

Experience and Skills Required

• Oncology experience required, including inpatient oncology and management of complications from blood cancers
• 1 year of experience required
• Administration of chemotherapy, antibiotics, antiemetics, and IVs (starting and maintaining)
• Accessing/Managing Ports
• Administration of blood & blood products
• Central line blood draw and Central Line/Implanted Line Care
• PICC line care
• Foley catheter insertion/management
• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Telemetry Interpretation and monitoring
• Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required
• Floating throughout the Oncology department is required

Certifications

• ONS/ONCC (Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• Chemo certification required
• Will need to pass Relias EKG exam

Charting and Technical Skills

• Preferred experience with Epic charting system

Contract and Compliance

• RNs required to obtain ACLS by compliance deadline
• Must complete specified pre-start modules within set deadlines
• MO or compact license required, IL license in hand at time of submittal
• No local candidates accepted within a 75 mile radius

Special Procedures/Equipment

• Auto stem cell transplants
• Chemotherapy administration

Work Environment

• Magnet & Teaching Hospital / Level I Trauma Center
• Short Term Acute Care facility

• Every other weekend required
• First time travelers accepted
• Navy Blue scrubs required
