Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Building Automation Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, and optimize BAS and EMS systems across the United States. You will work with Honeywell controls and Tridium Niagara platforms, supporting sites nationwide with travel 25% of the time.

You will perform commissioning, maintenance, and network testing, while documenting work and communicating recommendations to clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years BAS technician experience.
• Experience with Honeywell controls and/or Tridium Niagara strongly preferred.
• Niagara N4 commissioning and troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems, including wiring and control circuits.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and sequences of operation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control diagrams.
• Trade school or HVAC apprenticeship preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel nationwide 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair BAS and EMS systems.
• Commission and optimize HVAC controls for AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and rooftops.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and system upgrades.
• Test network communications using BACnet/IP, Modbus, and LonWorks.
• Diagnose and repair low voltage wiring, sensors, and actuators.
• Assist with Niagara N4 commissioning and programming tasks.
• Review system operation and sequences of operation to identify issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and customer records.
• Communicate findings and repairs clearly to customers and teams.
• Follow all safety requirements on site.
