Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking experienced Asphalt Crew Members to support daily paving operations across Ohio. Ideal candidates may have a CDL Class A/B and/or screed experience and must be willing to travel, work flexible hours, and join the laborer’s union immediately.

Responsibilities include assisting paving crews, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient operation on site. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willing to travel and work flexible hours incl. nights/weekends.
• Class A or B CDL and/or screed experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist paving crew with duties such as shovel, rake, and material placement.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and assist foreman and crew.
• Maintain material flow and ensure proper hopper/auger operation.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Communicate with foreman to pace paving and ensure smooth transitions.
