Job summary

IK Systems in Pittsburgh is hiring an Alarm Technician with travel up to 100% to install and service large-scale low-voltage security systems, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and structured cabling. You will support integrated solutions and work with project teams to deliver installations on time.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience, can work independently or on a team, and demonstrates strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in low-voltage installation and service.
• Must hold or be eligible for Charles County Restricted Master Electrician License.
• Current Certificate of Insurance required.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% nationally.
• Work in MD requires county credential and license reciprocity may apply.

Responsibilities

• Install and service large-scale, networked low-voltage security systems (access control, surveillance, intrusion, structured cabling).
• Support integrated solutions (life safety, AV, building automation, endpoint security).
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize systems to meet customer needs.
• Represent IK Systems on-site with strong customer relationships.
