Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting in California. Candidates must have at least 1 year of acute care PT experience and hold ACLS/BLS certification, plus Epic EMR exposure.

This travel-ready role features a day shift, Monday through Friday, with floating and weekend coverage as needed. California license is required. Ideal candidates bring community hospital experience and must provide two supervisor references; housing and

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in an acute care setting.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Community hospital experience required.
Active CA state license required at time of consideration.
Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history.
Experience with acute care equipment including bed alarms, call lights, crutches, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, shoulder slings, sit-to-stand lifts, sliding boards, standard walkers, and wheelchairs

Responsibilities

Acute Care Hospital unit treating adolescent and adult patients.
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Floating required.
Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis.
Uses Epic EMR
Core responsibilities include documentation, assessment, evaluation, plan of care development, and reassessments
Two supervisor references required for consideration
Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Former employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
No time off requested within the first two weeks of the assignment; a maximum of 7 days of time off per 13-week contract is highly preferred
