Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital—12 West unit—is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high-quality post-surgical and trauma care. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, you will work within an interdisciplinary team on a multispecialty unit with opportunities for advanced practice collaboration and professional growth.

The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, competency development, and participation in LEAD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically competent, evidence-based nursing care for a patient population on the Urology/Vascular & Trauma unit.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams including APNs, therapists, physicians and social workers.
• Contribute to quality improvement and LEAD program initiatives.
• Mentor and precept new staff and participate in department committees.
