Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or compact license to practice professional nursing.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
• RN levels: RN I <1 year, RN II 1-3 years, RN III 3-10 years, RN IV 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates care planning with an interdisciplinary team and administers clinical decisions in patient care.
• Collaborates with directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve outcomes based on data and standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops/implements discharge and/or transfer plans.
• Participates in ongoing evaluation of programs and quality of service; focuses on patient-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards and maintains safety for patients, staff and visitors.
• Promotes professional growth by meeting mandatory/continuing education requirements and supporting department goals.
• Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing compassionate, personalized and efficient experiences.
