Job summary

Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking a Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a per-diem role at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA.

The APP will collaborate with trauma surgeons to deliver comprehensive care to trauma patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The successful candidate will have GA PA/NP licensure, appropriate certifications (NCCPA/ANCC/AANP), ACLS/BLS, and at least 2 years of trauma experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as PA or NP in Georgia.
• Certification by NCCPA/ANCC/AANP.
• Minimum of 2 years of trauma surgery experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice care to trauma patients including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Assist in surgical procedures including preoperative and postoperative care.
• Perform rounds, patient evaluations, and formulate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in trauma resuscitations and activations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate medical records per hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education.
