Job summary

SAMGI seeks a Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on trauma patient care within a collaborative, hospital-based team.

Responsibilities include advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, pre/postoperative care, trauma resuscitations, and education for patients and families. Requires PA/NP licensure in GA, NCCPA/ANCC/AANP certification, ACLS/BLS, and 2+ years in trauma surgery.

Qualifications

• Current PA or NP licensure in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice care to trauma patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Assist in surgical procedures and perioperative care.
• Perform rounds, evaluations, and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Participate in trauma resuscitations and activations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge.
• Maintain accurate medical records and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in quality improvement and continuing education.
