HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital seeks a trauma surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care in a busy center on Florida's Emerald Coast. The role includes preoperative and postoperative management, patient counseling, and assisting during operative procedures as needed by supervising physicians.

Responsibilities

• Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays and provide diagnosis
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Perform medical treatment and diagnostic procedures
• Provide 1st or 2nd assist during surgery, as required by supervising physician and/or training
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans
• Preoperative and postoperative care
• PRN Day shifts, 12, 12-hour shifts per month
