Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate locum general surgery trauma assignment in Philadelphia, PA. The surgeon will cover a 13-week engagement with a daily rate of $3,240–$3,360, starting 11-30-26, with standard 5/8-hour shifts and on-call options.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in surgery (ACGME or AOA).
• Board certification in surgery (ABS).
• Active PA medical license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of general surgeries including emergency cases.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on patient care plans.
• Be on-call for emergent surgeries, including trauma cases.
• Educate patients on postoperative care and follow-up requirements.
